Abstract
Librarianship is a profession that involves managing, organizing and providing access to
information, knowledge, and cultural heritage, with a focus on promoting equitable
access to information for all. In the last few decades, technology has revolunionalised
many professions, as librarianship is not exceptional. Emerging technologies such as
Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, automation and
Internet of Things (IoT) are changing information management and services delivery in
libraries worldwide. This paper explored Transforming Librarianship and Information
Services Delivery through Innovative Technology. It highlights the impact of innovative
technologies on librarianship, identify current trends, challenges and future
possibilities. It offers a comprehensive review of how libraries are integrating these
technologies to enhance information access, improve users experience, and structured
administrative tasks. The paper concludes by presenting a future-oriented vision for
libraries, stressing the importance of adoptability and continuous innovation in
maintaining their relevance in an increasing digital world to enhance broader goals of
knowledge dissemination and accessibility.
