Abstract
The study investigated information literacy skills for effective library use among LIS
undergraduates at the Federal College of Education (Technical) (FCET), Umunze, Anambra
State. It was descriptive survey research. The population was eighty-six (86) final year
students of library and information science of FCE(T). Structured questionnaire was used
for data collection. It was discovered that the students possessed digital skills, algorithmic
skills, advanced search skills, critical analysis skills and data storage skills. They largely
struggled with the tools for ethical enforcement and digital information communication,
such as WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal. Based on the findings, the study recommended,
among other things, training for students on the practical use of academic integrity
